MAS NAMES NEW CHAIRMAN The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) appointed deputy prime minister and minister for finance Lawrence Wong as chairman of its board of directors. His appointment takes effect on July 8 for a term that ends on May 31, 2026. Lawrence Wong Wong has been deputy chairman of MAS since June 1 last year and previously served as a member of the de facto central bank’s board from June 2011 to August 2016.
